Blaziet
Horse Breed History

![]() |
BLAZIET breed was created in 1993. In 1997 Mr Jean-Pierre Comte, who owned and bred horses by passion bought his first stallion Arab thoroughbred named BESBES and imported while he was at it, 13 mares and foals from Tunisia. Under the leadership of Mr Gabriel Comte, his cousin, BESBES has become a fair sir: Champion of France in Model and Pace, European Champion in Jumping and National Stallion at the POMPADOUR stud farm. Its exceptional lineage is still in high requisition and has sired great champions. | |
| NADJI was the second stallion of this duet, it was champion of France and European vice-champion in model and pace, and as its predecessor became national stallion at the POMPADOUR stud farm. Its descendants still delight their numerous owners. JASSEM was the third stallion, several times winner in CSO, son of KORAICH, grandson of IBN, he honoured beautiful mares in the same stud farm that its predecessors. |

| The breeding of the BLAZIET presently uses two stallions that are the descendants of these champions.BAR DU MOULON by Emiralay and Rouka du Moulon by Nadji, specialised in endurance run, indexed on the Stud Book, as performer and producer: its first product FLAM DE BLAZIET was the champion of Corsica in 1998 and VIGOR DU MOULON by Jassem and Gora by Manganate, winner and placed in races, its first product Granduc de Blaziet was twice placed in France and winner and placed in Dubai. The initial brood mares chosen on very drastic criteria, model, performances and origins come from Tunisia. They bring character, speed and hot blood. By crossings Arab thoroughbred with Arab thoroughbred of French origin, colder but having better seat, we can get more performing horses (see appendix). Being disparaged for a long time, these origins proved to be among the best and the former skepticals eagerly look for the product now issued from this crossing. | ||

The second foal born at the Breeding and which run races in France - IBJANI DE BLAZIET by Tidjani and Ohm Lazzar (tun) won in Marseille for its first participation, and was placed second in Chantilly in the International Championship of 3-years old foals on June 6. 1999. |
